The road to Religion

For years I was lost inside the television set, watching Hollywood movies and crime serials and even Hindi soaps with my wife till one evening I walked out of a very sobby episode of a Saas Bahu and walked back into my library.

I landed myself in The Source by James Michener. It is a great book(in size too) if you want to find out why the Jews left for Egypt why they came back to the Promised Land and why they left it again till they came back to seize it from the world.
I wandered through The Holy Land with William Dalrymple.
            I reopened my Bible.
I got very fascinated by Job
And I found it so intriguing that Jews, Christians and Muslims share so many angels and prophets. Job/Ayyub; Moses/Moosa; Abraham/Ibrahim. In fact Judaism and the Islamic tribes of Arabia and the middle east trace themselves back to Abraham. Of course Christianity also traces itself back to Adam and Noah and then Abraham to King David and from thence to Joseph and Jesus.
I suppose it is age. There is nothing to prove that there is a thinking God but there is everything to prove that there is an unthinking God. Thus Brahma; Yahweh and Waheguru and of course Our Father who art in Heaven.
Then I am in the middle of My name is Red by Orham Pamuk.

The Exile.
